CHILDREN FIRST PARENTING PROGRAMS
A nominal fee applies to some classes. To register, contact Annie Saunders at 344-3579.
- General Parenting Class - offered quarterly; consists of 8 weekly sessions; subgroups for birth to five and six to twelve; childcare provided.
- Infant Care Class - offered two-three times per year; consists of 8 weekly sessions; focus on first year of life.
- Kids in Divorce and Separation - schedule to be determined; consists of 2 weekly sessions; focus on effects of divorce and separation on children.
COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAMS
All community education programs are offered free of charge. For more information, contact Lisa Denny at 344-3579.
- Good Touch/Bad Touch® - offers children tools to use to protect themselves, teaches them that their bodies are their own, and teaches them that it's ok to say "NO" to bad touch.
- Public Awareness Activities - blue ribbon campaign, Healthy Baby Week, Child Abuse Prevention Month, public awareness booths
- Educational Presentations - presentations for a variety of audiences on child abuse related topics.
- Resource Library - videos, and books available for checkout.
